About Diem
"Diem" is a Latin word meaning "day." It is most famous in the phrase "carpe diem" (meaning "seize the day"), which encourages living in the present moment and making the most of your life without worrying too much about the future

Diem is an ethos of exactly this, and one I have held strong in my many years of practice; recognising how much days change superficially, let alone metabolically, and equally, how overwhelming that thought can be around nutrition... added stress we can all do without.

Which led my nutrition study and approach, to understand human metabolism, how it adapts, and how it changes to the many ways people lead their lives, in health, sickness and sports performance. In order to translate this into simple strategies, get people the best outcomes, overcome the overwhelm, ditch decision fatigue, and never feel stuck in a kitchen...above all, feel able to achieve the many other goals that do not evolve around food and nutrition by training the confidence!
I offer many over 14 years of combined nutrition study and practice, seeing the ever-changing needs and "one-size fits all" static numbers repeatedly failing people and their goals . I have created and integrated tools that adapt to you, your daily life, and personal make-up..Let me help you clear the noise, and fuel your unique journey everyday!
The Background
A science sucker at heart I started off studying Biology, chemistry, physiology and psychology at college which with a growing interest in how nutrition interacts with physiology systems began my 4 years with the University of Surrey, studying and working with sports teams, hospitals and researchers within nutrition a dietetics bachelor of science degree.. The foundations here led to consulting roles within private healthcare, from here leading nutrition teams and specialising in the human metabolism around the gut, weight changes, nutrition support during cancer treatment and bone health around sport and injuries.

My love of sport led me to study with the International Olympic Committee, and thereafter leaving my full time healthcare role for nutrition projects with cycling, sailing and triathlon nutrition.

In 2025 my partner and I followed our love of mountains and sports and made a move to Andorra, where I established Diem Nutrition Ltd, serving local and remote clients with nutrition support for health and sporting needs.
Clients say..
“Working with Laura brought structure and clarity to my endurance nutrition. Her guidance around fuelling, recovery and supplementation was incredibly detailed but still practical to apply alongside training and everyday life. I felt supported throughout and gained much more confidence in how I fuel performance.”
